A survey by the People's Bank of China shows that business confidence among Chinese entrepreneurs increased in the third quarter of this year.

This is the second consecutive quarter that the country has recorded a growth in entrepreneur confidence index. The confidence measure touched 51.2 percent in the third quarter, inching 2.2 percent higher from the previous quarter.

Another survey by the People's Bank of China showed that bankers' confidence index also rose to 46.5 percent in the third quarter, showing a 2.8 percent increase from the previous quarter.

According to Reuters, the survey showed that 19.7 percent of bankers expect China's monetary policies to be relatively lax during the fourth quarter of the year. The survey was published on Sunday.

China's central bank has slashed interest six times since November 2014. It also decreased the reserves that banks are required to keep.

A third survey conducted by the People's Bank of China pointed to the increasing housing costs in the country. Up to 53.7 percent of the households which partook in the survey stated that housing costs have reached "unacceptably high" levels. Nonetheless, the number of residents looking to buy a property in the next three months increased by 1.3 percent from the previous quarter to touch 16.3 percent.

The world's second largest economy has been under pressure for quite some time. However, in the month of August, China's economy showed positive signs as the country's retail sales and factory output grew faster than expected. These figures were supported by increased government infrastructure spending and the country's robust housing market.

According to the BBC, the International Monetary Fund expects China's GDP to increase by 6.6 percent this year, while Chinese authorities expect the growth to be between 6.5 percent and 7 percent
