Speculations, which have been circling since the recent NBA Finals, claimed that the 28-year-old Love is an ill-fit with the Cavs team that is spearheaded by LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. While he is part of Cleveland's so-called Big Three, one look at the stats will say that Love is far from the two aforementioned players when it comes to overall contributions to the squad.

These rumors gained more traction when Love was sidelined in Game 3 of last June's Finals due to a concussion, which forced head coach Tyronn Lue to put Richard Jefferson in the starting lineup.

With Love out and Jefferson in, the Cavs surprisingly became a better team and eventually beat then defending champions Golden State Warriors coming back from a deficit of 1-3.

What had transpired made the speculations amplify and so a lot of NBA trade rumors linking Love to other teams have emerged.

One of them is a potential deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, a squad Love has always been associated with because of his California ties.

Sportsrageous indicated that a blockbuster deal sending Love to the Hollywood team in exchange for D'Angelo Russell and a host of other players for salary-matching purposes is rumored to be happening.

The report did mention, though, that such a scenario is "unlikely for both teams at this point," as the Cavs would not want to "destroy the chemistry" the team had already built even if Love has become an overpaid bench player.

Meanwhile, Inquisitr reported that the Heat could also be a potential destination for the three-time NBA All-Star. The article noted that a package including Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow and Josh McRoberts may be offered in exchange or Love's services.

The trade would benefit the Heat as getting Love would help them lessen the impact Chris Bosh, who is reportedly going to be shut down by Miami again this coming season, would leave behind. However, Miami will weaken their point guard and small forward spots with the exit of Dragic and Winslow.

Getting the three players for Love will be somewhat of an advantage for the Cavs as Dragic is a combo guard that could also play the shooting guard position alongside Irving while Winslow can be an effective backup for James.

Still, it remains to be seen whether the Cavs is ready to let go of a big-name player like Love for the purpose of improving the compatibility of the players in their roster.
