Irish rock band U2 recently performed at the closing event of this year's Dreamforce conference held in San Francisco. U2's vocalist Bono, who was over-the-top as always, shared his views on the current political situation of the United States, and he did not fail to trash Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Dreamforce is an annual convention hosted by San Franciso-based software company Salesforce where the U2 gig also served as a fundraiser of the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals based in Oakland and San Francisco, Mercury News reported.

A huge outdoor stage was built specifically for the band's performance, while an indoor venue catered to the conference goers who wanted food and drinks.

The tickets to the event was priced at a minimum of $1,000 for a single general admission ticket, to as high as $1 million for an exclusive viewing area which offered several exclusive perks.

According to San Francisco Gate, the total fundraising goal of the event was pegged at $10 million.

Bono and the crew opened their set with "Vertigo." When they performed "Bullet the Blue Sky," Bono revealed his thoughts about the ongoing U.S. presidential race. He even took time trashing Trump, especially the presidential candidate's idea of building a wall on the US-Mexico border.

U2 played a total of 16 songs, which comprised mostly of the band's classic hits and concert staples, including "Elevation," "Beautiful Day," "Angel of Harlem," "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of," "Pride," "One" and "With or Without You." Meanwhile, they closed their set with "40."
