 Alcatel has announced that its newest budget friendly device, the Alcatel PIXI 4 smartphone, will soon be available in Canada within this month.

Alcatel also revealed that the device will be sold through various service providers in the country, including Telus, Bell, WIND Mobile, Videotron, Virgin Mobile Canada and Koodo.

The regional pricing of the new handheld device from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will reportedly vary from vendor to vendor. The price of the smartphone in Koodo's official website is at around $100 with no contract tied-up. It will be available only in Black color option.

The Alcatel PIXI 4 smartphone features a 4.5-inch FWVGA TFT display screen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels.

The upcoming device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon processor clocked at the speed of 1.16GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM. It is also equipped with a built-in 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

The Alcatel PIXI 4 sports a 5-megapixel primary camera with a LED flash support and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chatting.

It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, along with Alcatel's latest customized user interface, while fueled by a removable 1800mAh capacity battery. It measures a body dimension of132.2 x 65.1 x 10.05mm and weighs in at 136 grams.

Other features of the Alcatel Pixi 4 smartphone include 4G LTE capability, Bluetooth v4.1, WiFi and GPS. It is worth noting, though, that the device does not support NFC or fingerprint sensor.
