NBA's Rajon Rondo recently expressed his confidence that the Chicago Bulls' "Three Alphas" could be as successful as the Boston Celtics' former Big Three of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett.

Rondo signed with the Bulls via free-agency in July, one day after former Heat superstar Dwyane Wade announced that he had agreed to join Chicago on a two-year deal worth $47.5 million.

As a result, the club formed its own Big Three with resident team leader Jimmy Butler and the trio was then dubbed as the "Three Alphas".

Some NBA analysts were having doubts with how the three players can co-exist and be successful this season. Sportsrageous noted that "none of them could post a threat in the three-point range, making it hard for the Bulls to space the floor".

However, Rondo remained optimistic about their union, saying that he has the experience to "quarterback" future Hall of Famers, according to Slam Online.

"I was able to quarterback with so many future Hall of Famers. I learned how to keep guys happy," said Rondo, while talking about his stint with the Celtics. "I had to laugh about it - myself, Jimmy and D-Wade 'not getting along.' I've seen it first-hand with the Big Three. Three guys with different backgrounds and they were able to come together."

Before deciding to join Chicago, Rondo reportedly met with Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg to watch film and talk about his system "for hours on end".

Hoiberg is said to have been impressed by the one-time NBA champion's high basketball IQ as he immediately absorbed the team's "complicated offense".

"A lot of things were said about Fred, a lot of things were said about me," Rondo said. "It's definitely been refreshing to come in a situation and not be judged. You get a great fresh start."

Rondo then disclosed that he wanted to play with the likes of Butler, one who is not afraid to compete.

"I wanted to play with guys who competed, and Jimmy was at the top of the list," NBA's Rajon Rondo continued. "Jimmy's not afraid to punch a guy in the mouth, figuratively speaking."
