AMD recently announced that selected AM3+ motherboards will already come with a copy of "Doom."

AMD's latest move is part of the company's strategy to clear its stockpile of AM3+ motherboards. The offer will run until Jan. 27, 2017, with the free game vouchers redeemed before March 27.

The deal will be available on selected North American dealers, both offline and online stores.

According to PC World, among the confirmed retailers are ASI, Amazon, Cybertron PC, Cyberpower, Ingram, Fry's, Microcenter, Ma Labs, Netlink Computer, Newegg and Microcenter.

While AMD's new deal is an interesting one, many market analysts agree that it is part of the company's strategy to entice consumers to buy instead of waiting for the next generation of products.

AMD has already announced that by 2017, the company will roll out the highly anticipated Zen-based CPUs, which will rely on the new AM4 socket. Due to this roll out, AM3+ systems and components will be considered outdated by then.

AMD promises that the new Zen-based CPUs will be an affordable alternative to Intel products. The CPU market is currently dominated by Intel, and AMD is trying to get back on track with the release of the upcoming Zen CPUs.

In August, AMD unveiled that first Zen-based Summit Ridge chip, an 8-core desktop processor.

AMD said the processor will hit the market within the first three months of 2017. During its presentation, AMD highlighted how the Summit Ridge processor performed against the new Broadwell-E Core i7 processor from Intel.
