Despite his last week's stunning victory, Donald Trump continues to evoke negative emotions. This is more so in China as Trump's tirade against the Asian giant during his election campaign continues to haunt Chinese citizens.

However, Trump's 5-year-old granddaughter Arabella Kushner may have done a great favor for the US President-elect, which could go a long to improve his troubled relationship with world's most populous nation.

Arabella's Instagram video which shows her reciting a classical Chinese poetry is creating waves across China's Weibo. What has also caught the fancy of Chinese people is that Arabella wore a traditional Chinese blouse in the video.

"I particularly dislike Trump but his children and grandchildren are all quite cute," wrote Weibo user cloudwhale.

"A new generation of Sino-U.S. friendship ambassador," a user named Bright commented.

"I think Trump will take her along when he visits China," a user named Ke said.

The U.S. President-elect has so far not commented on his granddaughter's poetry and the impact it has had on the Chinese people.

Meanwhile, President Xi Jinping called Trump on Monday and to congratulate him on his victory. He reportedly said that "cooperation" is the only choice for US-China relationship.

Xi's cautious message, in a way, greatly conveyed the Republican presidential nominee's love-hate relation with China. The U.S. president-elect labeled China as a "job thief" and "currency manipulator" during his year-long election campaign.
