Lady Gaga has defended Kanye West on Twitter and is offering "support" and "love" following news of the rapper getting hospitalized allegedly for mental health issues.

The 39-year-old rapper had canceled his remaining shows for his "Saint Pablo" tour and was hospitalized on Monday in Los Angeles due to exhaustion.

"There was a small altercation at the gym but he was deemed medically stable and decided to seek medical help at his doctor's request" a source explained to People.

"He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation. He went to the hospital at will under the advice of his physician. He's fine. We're super confident he's going to pull through," the source added.

Gaga took to her verified Twitter account to speak her mind about the issue surrounding West. She started off by saying that "it's not funny to joke about anyone's possible or not possible mental illness." She encouraged everyone to be more "kind and loving" toward West.

The 30-year-old singer also admitted that she might not have seen eye to eye with the infamous rapper in the past, but she is very supportive of him taking a break from his career and taking care of himself.
