Recent trade rumors have emerged that the Washington Wizards could offer a package that includes Bradley Beal to the Sacramento Kings for DeMarcus Cousins before the trade deadline.

Cousins, 26, has been the favorite of the rumor mill since the summer of last year because of a combination of the players' character and reputation and the team's perpetual struggles with him as the main man.

The Kings have never qualified for the playoffs in all six seasons since they drafted the former Kentucky standout fifth overall in 2010. In total, Sacramento has not reached the postseason in ten years.

The latest team that is linked to Cousins is the Wizards and Inquisitr reported that Washington is prepared to trade its top shooting guard, Beal, in a bid to acquire John Wall's former college teammate.

Speculations abound that Wall and Beal are discreetly having a conflict with one another and that they just "don't like each other". The beef rumored to have started after the Wizards made Beal the team's new highest-paid player by signing him to a five-year, $127 million deal in July.

These rumors have sparked even more rumors that the Wizards could trade either Wall or Beal before the trade deadline in February to shake up their roster.

Meanwhile, Sportsrageous indicated that Cousins is close to exiting the Kings and will only stay "if they are battling for the playoffs by trade deadline".

With Sacramento losing three of their last four games and settled 10th in the West with an 8-13 record, it looks like the team is bound again to another playoff-less season.

The Kings are said to be on a "wait and see" attitude at the moment as the club reportedly wants to keep Cousins until the deadline or close to the deadline and "see where they are as a team" before deciding to trade the two-time NBA All-Star or not.

Should the proposed trade pushes through, Cousins will reunite with his former Kentucky Wildcats teammate Wall as the two have recently voiced out their mutual desire to be on the same team once again.
