Raging Grizzlies Hand Warriors 4th Loss of the Season

Golden State Warriors' winning momentum was abruptly stopped by the raging Memphis Grizzlies, 89-110, for the team's sixth straight win.

The Grizzlies started stacking up points early in the game, finishing the first quarter with 31 points against the Warriors' 16. The Grizzlies' offensive firepower continued until the second quarter, ending the half with 61 points, according to CSN.

The Grizzlies struggled in the second half, luckily for the host team, the Warriors were not able to get their offense running. The Grizzlies held on to their massive lead, eventually handing the Warriors their fourth defeat of the season.

Seven Grizzlies players were able to score in double figures, led by center Marc Gasol and forward Tony Allen, both have 19 points each. JaMychal Green and Zach Randolph each had 14 points. Jarell Martin had 13 points. Troy Williams and Andrew Harrison had 11 points each. Green dominated the boards with 10 rebounds.

On the side of the Warriors, Kevin Durant led the offense with 21 points and seven rebounds, according to NBA.com. Ace guard Stephen Curry added 17 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Klay Thompson, who had an impressive 60-point performance a couple of nights ago, went cold with only eight points on a 4-of-14 shooting, including a 0-of-3 in the three-point area. Ian Clark added 10 points and three rebounds for the Warriors. Draymond Green had seven points and seven rebounds.

When asked about what caused them to lose the game, Curry responded during the post-game interview, "Everything. We sucked tonight."

The Warriors will fly to Minnesota on Sunday, while the Grizzlies will visit the reigning champions on Wednesday.
