Apple Releases the latest software update for iPhones and iPads iOS 10.2

(Photo : Facebook) Apple on Monday rolled out the iOS 10.2, the latest software update for iPhones and iPads, which will give users a whole new lot of features such as the Apple TV, more emojis, Headphone Icon, to name a few.

After a lengthy beta period, Apple released on Monday the iOS 10.2, its latest software update for iPhones and iPads, which offers another newly improve experience for Apple enthusiasts.

How to get the iOS 10.2?

The recent iOS 10.2 is available for installation on iPhone 5 models and later, fourth generation iPads or later, and the sixth generation of the iPod touch or later.

To update, users need to simply open their Settings, select General, and then open Software Update in the menu. The handset will then be updated for a couple of minutes.

The iOS 10.2 can also be installed as an over-the-air update, which entails users to only access Settings > General > Software Update. Users could easily then tap the Download and Install buttons once update is prompted. The update could also be done manually via the latest versions of iTunes on MAC or PC.

What's new in iOS 10.2?

Apple stated that the new iOS 10.2 update sports a new feature including TV app (US only), which is a new and unified experience for accessing TV shows and movies across multiple video apps. Emoji has also been beautifully redesigned to reveal more details with over 100 new emojis added on the list including faces, food, animals, sports, and professions. This update also includes stability improvements and bug fixes.

TV App (US Only)

Americans have this new TV app that will provide recommendations for new movies and TV shows in a "Watch Now" section. It will also allow users to operate a single sign in feature to let them sync passwords across various TV Apps.

Users can use Up Next to see the movies and shows they are currently watching and pick up where they left off.

New Wallpapers

New spanking wallpapers have also been added to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models and have been dubbed as Droplet Blue, Droplet Red, and Droplet Yellow.

Emoji-nal change

Beautifully redesigned emoji have been added to the latest update that reveal even more detail like male and female of versions of different professions.

iMessage

Apple's instant messaging service now has background effects that can be added to text messages like "love" and "celebration" full screen effects.

Camera

The camera app now has a "preserve" feature that allows users to keep the camera in the mode they left it in. iPads have also received a whole new raft of features. A Videos widget has also been added to the home screen taking users to the latest films they have added to their camera roll.

Headphone Icon

Apple has also included a Headphone Icon so when users plug-in their headphones, they know that it is connected as they can see the icon.
