LG will be present at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 in Las Vegas to unveil a new line of robots.

The South Korean electronics company stated that robots and artificial intelligence (AI) would dominate CES 2017 and the company will launch at least three new robots. These robots can be used in and around the home, and some are for commercial applications. Previously, LG launched an automated vacuum cleaner. However, the company’s new robot models are described as LG’s first “non-cleaning robots.”

“By leveraging powerful analytical processing power, LG’s robotic lineup will be able to navigate complex environments and decipher the most efficient and effective path to accomplish tasks, making people’s lives easier at every touch-point,” LG stated in a press release.

First, the in the line up is the LG Hub Robot, which is a smart home management robot that interacts with smart locks, lights, and thermostats. It can also serve as a personal assistant just like Google Home and Amazon Echo. Next in line is a robot with new capabilities that will help people with their yard and garden.

The last robot in LG’s lineup is designed for commercial use in public places like hotels and airports. The company said that it would help improving a traveler’s experience with assistance and information.

In September 2016, LG had announced the company’s heavy investments in robotics. LG has joined Samsung, Google, and Apple in the robotics department. The company’s appliances have been getting smarter over the last five years.
