Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight Brock Lesnar has been issued with a one-year suspension and a $250,000 fine after he failed on two drug tests, according to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old Lesnar has tested positive of clomiphene in an out-of-competition test on June 28 and in-competition test on July 9, 2016. Clomiphene is a highly prohibited substance by the UFC.

As a result, Lesnar has not only been suspended for one year but also his victory at the UFC 200 has been declared a no contest, according to a statement issued on the USADA website.

His suspension, however, dates back to July 15, 2016 and will therefore end on July 15 this year. Lesnar has so far not mentioned about retiring from the UFC, thus signaling the possibility of a comeback after the suspension.

As reported by the Wrestling Rumour, Lesnar, who is currently signed to the World Wrestling Entertainment, remains in action despite the suspensions and fines imposed on him by the Nevada Athletics Commission.

This some would argue is due to the current feud ongoing between Lesnar and Bill Goldberg. The feud began as a bout to determine who was the better man between them. Unfortunately, Lesnar, also known as "the Beast Incarnate," got one of the worst if not the defeat in his entire WWE career after losing the match in just less than 90 seconds.

The two are set to meet again in a 30-man elimination match at the Royal Rumble, and this time, Brock has a point to prove.
