Casio recently launched its second Android Wear smartwatch, the Casio WSD-F20, which is the successor of the Casio F10 that was released in 2015.

At first glance, one will be convinced that Casio specifically designed the WSD-F20 for users who love the outdoors and have an active lifestyle. The WSD-F10 features a rounded design, a feature that makes it look like a traditional watch rather than a device pulled out of a sci-fi movie.

Compared with its predecessor, the Casio WSD-F20 has a rather bigger bezel with a handful of new wordings etched into it. The smartwatch has a 1.32-inch rounded display. The WSD-F20 was not exactly designed to be a luxurious or aesthetic device, but a device that projects strength at first sight.

Packed under the display are several sensors including a standalone GPS, storage components, and a battery pack. The Casio WSD-F20 has scored an MIL-STD 810G rating, which means the smartwatch is water resistant for up to 50 meters, according to Engadget.

On the software side, the WSD-F20 runs on Android Wear 2.0. The popularity of this platform means that users will have no trouble looking for appropriate apps to cater to almost every needs. At the side of the smartwatch are buttons that can be programmed to easily launch apps and features. Additionally, the smartwatch has a handful of built-in tracking tools to track speed, as well as depth.

Casio did not confirm the price of the WSD-F20. However, a company representative told Android Central that the smartwatch will hit the market in late April and will have a price tag of $449.
