Raymond Wong's Condition is Improving

Hong Kong actor Raymond Wong's health condition has improved and he is set to be discharged from hospital on September 18.

The actor was hospitalized for recurring fevers and mouth sores, and was later diagnosed to be suffering from Behcet's Disease, a visceral illness that affects almost every organ in the body.

However, further tests showed that none of Wong's organs were affected by the disease and that his condition has been steadily improving.

He had to withdraw from the lead role in the upcoming TVB drama "Cheung Po Tsai" following the diagnosis.

Reports say when Wong was first admitted to the hospital, the actor was unable to eat or drink and only depended on intravenous saline drips. Now he is able to eat solid food.

Only his family members are allowed to visit him at the hospital, so his friends would only get to see him after his release from the hospital.

Despite the severe implications of the disease that Wong is afflicted with, doctors assured that his condition is not critical. His representatives said he only suffered from mouth ulcers and a blurry vision.

Wong's wife, Kaka Mok, is said to have lost some weight from the pressure of having to take care of her husband and their two sons, 3-year old Kayden and 1-year old Ransley.

Mok admitted that when Wong fell ill, she has been juggling numerous family responsibilities, such as managing household chores, bringing one son to kindergarten, while also taking care of their toddler.
