Recent rumors have emerged that the Miami Heat could trade Goran Dragic soon with the Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings interested in dealing for the starting point guard.

Heat president Pat Riley is reportedly keen on making Miami a title-contender once again soonest. Right now, the team is second to the last place in the Eastern Conference with an 11-30 slate and only the Brooklyn Nets has a worse record.

With the team heading nowhere, a full rebuild is said to be the best option for the Heat right now. Reports are out that no one in the Miami roster is safe from getting traded and that includes Dragic.

Dragic, who will turn 31 in May, is perhaps the Heat's best trade asset at the moment other than center Hassan Whiteside. The team could trade him to acquire multiple future assets to jumpstart the rebuild.

Sportsrageous noted that Miami would certainly want a "good return since they gave up much in order to acquire him in 2015". The Heat acquired Dragic from the Phoenix Suns in February 2015 via a three-team deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Two of the teams who are rumored to be eyeing Dragic at the moment are the Magic and Kings, who are both in need of an experienced starting point guard.

There are rumors that Miami is also looking to trade Dragic to tank and get the highest possible draft pick this summer, but at their current winning rate, it looks like they do not have to trade him in order to finish low.

Fansided suggested that the Heat should instead keep Dragic and pair him with "their lottery pick and whatever haul they get from Chris Bosh's voided contract".

The report said that a "quick rebuild" is not possible if a team relies on "an all-out youth movement" alone and so keeping some of their veterans, particularly Dragic, could be crucial for the team's future.
