The global Android 7.0 Nougat roll out have been plagued by several hurdles lately. Just a day after HTC decided to stop the roll out of the Android Nougat update for the HTC 10, South Korean tech giant Samsung quickly followed suit. Samsung recently announced that it is halting the rollout of Android Nougat in China for its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices due to unpatched bugs.

There are reports claiming that Samsung has released a new beta update for the Galaxy S7 in China, this is despite the fact that the Android 7.0 Nougat beta program has ended in December last year.

The latest Galaxy S7 Edge beta update has a build number G9350ZCU2ZQA4, according to GSM Arena. The beta update brings in the new power saving mode, as well as a handful of performance and stability improvement patches.

According to Giz China, Samsung said that the company received a lot of bug complaints after installing the Android 7.0 Nougat update on their Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices. Samsung added that the bug appeared to be isolated only in China and that other regional Nougat updates are still working. The company said that no other region has reported any bugs after installing the Android Nougat update.

This latest roll out fiasco is another blow for Samsung which is still picking up the pieces following the exploding battery issues that have plagued its Galaxy Note 7 devices. Some tech analysts said that Samsung should pay a lot of attention in containing these problems especially now that the company is slated to release the new Galaxy S8 flagship device in the coming weeks.
