Brazilian winger Philippe Coutinho has denied that he is interested in joining the cash-rich Chinese revolution, saying that his heart belongs to Liverpool, his current English Premier League club.

Coutinho, 24, was the subject of latest transfer rumors earlier this season, linking him to La Liga champions FC Barcelona and Ligue 1 titlists Paris Saint-Germain. Speculations of a potential Chinese Super League transfer has been making rounds as well.

He has since refuted all those rumors, particularly during the recent signing of his five-year $250,000-a-week contract extension at the Anfield, according to The Sun. The deal has no release clause, which means no other football club can buy him until 2022.

"China, no. I am not interested. I don't think about that, not for one moment," said Coutinho, during his contract signing on Wednesday. "My football is here. My heart is here. I don't think about any other club. Not at all."

Barcelona is reportedly prepared to spend $75 million on the Brazilian international while the Parisians are said to be ready to do the same, but Coutinho chose to stay with the Reds in England and vowed not to join "compatriots Oscar and Ramires in heading to the Far East," the Daily Star reported.

"I believe in finding somewhere you can express yourself, play without fear, play with everything you have. When you find that place, stay. Liverpool has a plan. To be back on the top and that's what I believe in. I want to be part of that," he said.

The Chinese Super League was able to lure more big-name players from Europe in this winter transfer window after Shanghai SIPG signed Oscar from Chelsea for $73 million last month and Shanghai Shenhua made Carlos Tevez the highest-paid footballer in the world six days later.

Rumors are out that the China top-flight is targeting more popular players, such as Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, and Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Liverpool acquired Coutinho from Inter Milan in January of 2013 for a transfer fee of only $10.6 million. He has become one of the top performers in the Reds' lineup since then, scoring 35 goals in 162 appearances in all competitions since then.
