Latest trade rumors are out that the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns are discussing a potential deal involving the California franchise's superstar DeMarcus Cousins.

There were reports earlier this month that Cousins is set to sign a massive five-year, $200 million contract extension with the Kings this summer, which had temporarily extinguished trade rumors mentioning the three-time NBA All-Star.

However, just a few weeks later, the 26-year-old center is back in the rumor mill once again with a report from the Sacramento Bee saying that the Kings are talking with Western Conference cellar-dwellers Suns of a possible trade with Cousins as the centerpiece.

The report cited an article by Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro as the source of the rumor, which mentioned starting small forward TJ Warren, backup center Alex Len, and the Suns' 2017 first-round draft pick as the trade package Phoenix will offer for Boogie.

However, the Suns' two future first-rounders from the trade that sent Goran Dragic to the Miami Heat may also be included, according to Gambadoro.

Cousins, who is currently averaging 28.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.4 steals in 34.4 minutes per game in 48 games so far this season, has been with Sacramento for his entire six-year career. The Kings have not advanced to the playoffs for a decade, including all those years since they drafted him fifth overall in 2010.

The club's failure to win has prompted a lot of speculations and suggestions from NBA analysts that Cousins is not helping them get better and should be dealt soonest. But Kings' owners and senior officials are reportedly keen on keeping the former Kentucky standout and continue to build their team around him no matter what.

Sacramento is now 10th in the Western Conference, tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves and three games behind current eighth-seeded squad Denver Nuggets. The team has been reeling once again, losing three of their last four games after a two-game winning run.
