Chinese smartphone maker Alcatel has announced that its unlocked Alcatel IDOL 4S smartphone running on the latest Windows 10 Mobile operating system is now available in the United States via Amazon.com. The online retailing website is currently offering the unlocked device at around $449.99, which also includes a free VR headset.

The unlocked Alcatel IDOL 4S smartphone is similar to the previously launched model in China. It features a 5.50-inch touch screen display with a 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which is paired with 4GB of RAM onboard. It comes equipped with a built-in 64GB of internal memory storage that can be further expandable up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the camera department, the unlocked Alcatel IDOL 4S smartphone sports a 21-megapixel primary camera on the rear panel and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and video chats. The phone runs on the latest Windows 10 operating system out of the box, which is coupled with Microsoft's latest customized user interface laid on top. Fueling the handset is a non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh capacity battery.

Other features the Alcatel Idol 4S smartphone offers include a dual SIM (GSM), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS with A-GPS, Type-C .0, Bluetooth v4.1, and 4G network support. Sensors on the phone include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, and Gyroscope. The device measures body dimensions of 153.90 x 75.40 x 6.99 (height x width x thickness) and weigh around 152.00 grams.
