Matte Black Edition Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Smartphone to be Launched in India on March 1

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that the Matte Black edition Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone is set to be launched in India next month. The new variant will be available via Mi.com and Flipkart starting March 1.

The availability of the Matte Black edition Redmi Note 4 smartphone was announced on Xiaomi's official Twitter account. "Drop EVERYTHING and read! #RedmiNote4 - BLACK is coming your way on 1 March, 12 noon! Mark the date and make it yours!," Xiaomi India tweeted.

The Matte Black Redmi Note 4 smartphone features a solid metallic body, improved camera, and enhanced processor performance. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD display screen that support 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels resolutions and 2.5D arc glass on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, which is paired with Adreno 506 GPU on the graphics.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be available in India in three variants - 2GB of RAM + 32GB ROM priced at Rs. 9,999 ($149.25), 3GB of RAM + 32GB ROM cost at Rs. 10,999 ($164.18), and the 4GB of RAM + 64GB ROM priced at Rs. 12,999 ($194.03). On the camera side, the phone sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front sensor for selfies.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, which is paired with Xiaomi's latest MIUI 8 beta customized user interface laid on top of it. Fueling the device is a 4,100 mAh capacity battery, which the company claims can last up to 25 percent longer compared to its predecessor Redmi Note 3.
