Manchester United superstar striker Zlatan Ibrahimović is reportedly attracting the interest of several Chinese Super League squads ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. There are rumors that the former Sweden captain could earn as much as $713,000 per week if he decides to leave England for China this summer.

The 35-year-old goalscorer is currently on a one-year deal with the Red Devils which is set to expire at the end of the season. It has an option to extend for another year depending on his performance for the club, but it seems like that it is Ibrahimović himself who is hesitant to stay.

Despite his fine form this season, scoring 26 times in 39 games in all competitions, United is still outside the Champions League candidates for next season. The team is sixth in the Premier League table at the moment, three points behind fourth-place squad Liverpool with 12 games left in their campaign this term.

Sportskeeda reported that Ibrahimović could "join the long list of football players who decided to ply their trade in the Chinese Super League" as China top-flight clubs are prepared to pay him $36.8 million a season just to lure him to the Far East. However, United manager Jose Mourinho is said to be eager to keep him for one more season as the team continues its journey back on top of the English Premier League.

Meanwhile, former England international Robbie Fowler said that Ibrahimović is highly likely to leave the Old Trafford in the summer and head to China. He said that one indication of the Swede's departure is the delay in extension talks between Ibrahimović and United, the Daily Express noted.

"I won't be surprised if Zlatan Ibrahimović goes to China in the summer. But before he does, every member of the strikers club should thank him," Fowler said. Fowler then predicted that Ibrahimović's United teammate, Wayne Rooney, will also follow him to China this summer.
