Winless clubs Jiangsu Suning FC (0-2-1, 1 point) and Chongqing Dangdai Lifan FC (0-1-2, 2 points) are scheduled to square off at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center on April 7, Friday as the 2017 Chinese Super League season moves forward.

Jiangsu Suning, last season's runner-up finishers, had been struggling to start the new China top-flight season with two losses and one draw. The team is surprisingly in the bottom two relegation area at the moment even though they are having a successful AFC Champions League campaign so far.

The team is currently undefeated in the Champions League after three games and will look to win a fourth straight against Gamba Osaka in Suita, Japan next week.

In their last CSL game last Sunday, Jiangsu dropped an embarrassing 1-3 game to Liaoning Whowin at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium, as per ESPN.

Local midfielder Wang Song scored Jiangsu's only goal of the match as head coach Choi Yong-soo continues to rest Brazilian striker Alex Teixeira to preserve him for ACL matches. Teixeira's compatriot, former Chelsea star Ramires, and South Korean defender Hong Jeong-ho were the only foreign players for Jiangsu during the match.

Meanwhile, Chongqing is also struggling to find its first win of the season with two draws and a loss after three rounds.

They suffered their first loss also last Sunday after a 0-2 defeat to Tianjin Teda on the road at the Tianjin Tuanbo Soccer Stadium, The Guardian reported.

Another former Chelsea standout, John Obi Mikel, scored the opening goal of the match in the 48th minute before Chongqing's Croatian defender Goran Milovic netted an own goal in the 82nd to hand head coach Chang Woe-ryong's side the shutout defeat.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 victory for Jiangsu Suning for their first win of the season.
