U.S. District Judge Harold Murphy dismissed a lawsuit filed by celebrity hair stylist Terrence Davidson against Nicki Minaj wherein Davidson accused the rapper of stealing his hair designs for the colorful wigs that were integral to her success. The suit was filed in Atlanta and thrown out on Thursday.

Murphy stated that although Minaj's wigs were "unique and distinctive in the ordinary sense of the word," audiences were unaware that they were designed by Davidson.

The stylist, whose clientele list includes Patti LaBelle and Jennifer Hudson, worked for the rapper in 2010 and his designs became part of the artist's persona.

According to the lawsuit, Minaj also wore wigs designed by Davidson in the "Super Bass" music video, including one of the rapper's most recognizable 'dos - the "Pink Upper Bun".

At the urging of Minaj's rep, Davidson turned down a reality show prospect because he was already talking with the rapper about doing a joint reality show and launching a line of wigs.

Davidson claimed that after a few months, Minaj and her team shut him out and he ended his professional relationship with the rapper in early 2013.

The celebrity stylist stated that once he stopped working for Minaj over a year ago, the rapper began copying his style and even selling Davidson-inspired wigs online.

On the other hand, Minaj's lawyers said that the stylist is only "upset because he lost his most famous client" and, that he only wanted to force a business relationship with Minaj and Pink Personality in order to obtain money that wasn't rightfully his.

Murphy stated in his order that verbal agreements that occurred between Minaj and Davidson were too vague for Davidson to have expected anything from.

On the other hand, while the wig-stealing case has been thrown out, Minaj seems to have found a rival in Miley Cyrus who she beat when it came to numbers of YouTube views for her music video, "Anaconda".

Posting a photo of herself with a big fake butt on, Cyrus captioned it with ""I don't even need wigs b****es," apparently throwing shade at Minaj whose "Anaconda" video featured her and other dancers twerking with their big bottoms.
