Novak Djokovic is now officially a father after wife, Jelena, gave birth to a healthy baby boy in France on Tuesday evening according to Serbian reports.

Novosti Online reported that Jelena Ristic, Djokovic's wife, and baby are in perfect condition in the city of Nice and the proud grandparents of Srdjan and Dijana has organized a modest celebration at the "Novak" restaurant located in New Belgrade while Jelena's mother, Miomir, is right beside her in France.

The World No. 1 tennis player Novak announced that he and then fiancée Jelena were having a baby in April and in May, Novak was asked on the expected date of the arrival which he commented in saying that he had "been told not to say."

The couple has been seeing each other since 2006 and got engaged in September of last year.

Shortly after winning Novak's second Wimbledon Championship in London, the couple got married on July 12 in Montenegro and had a short honeymoon in the islands of Greece.

Although Djokovic has not yet confirmed on the reports, he had hinted on when the baby will actually arrive before the U.S. Open started in August when he was asked about his priorities once he becomes a father.

"I have only positive and joyful feelings approaching fatherhood, and hopefully it's going to happen in less than two months," Djokovic said. "Then I'm going to enjoy it and try to take as much energy as I can, positive energy to the tennis court."

The seven-time Grand Slam champion is expected to defend his title in next week's BNP Paribas Masters in Paris which is quite convenient that Jelena is also in France and then proceed to London and also defend his title at the year-ending ATP World Tour Finals slated to start Sunday on Nov. 9.
