"We did not know it would be so popular from day one," Meng Bing, one of the four IT workers who founded the burger store, said.

The four IT workers-turned-burger-shop founders graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University with majors in automation, computer, chemical engineering and management. They have worked for BAT (Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent) Internet companies, dealing with IT stuffs.

Meng said a lot of people thought that it was quick decision for them to sell Chinese hamburger but he stressed that it was actually his idea for quite some time but his parents discouraged him to venture into the burger business.

Last year, Meng's team set up a technology company and earned the first pot of gold, giving him the capital to invest in the hamburger store.

The four founders divide the work equally but still help each other in managing the burger shop. They learned how to make the Chinese hamburger from Xi'an and agreed to offer only the traditional Chinese hamburger.

As IT experts, the four utilize the social media Weixin in promoting their hamburgers, attracting hundreds of customers every day.

Chinese netizens commented that it was a waste for top students to sell food, but Meng responded modestly: "We will prove ourselves.  It is not that easy to sell burgers, it needs high intelligence to do it".

Meng revealed that their goal is to start an international catering business and at this time, the four founders are planning to establish its second eatery.
