Thousands of people flocked to India to personally see "God Boy", baby born with four arms and four legs, reports have emerged from the Central European News (CEN).

The baby was said to have been called by his parents as "God Boy" as they claim that the form of his body, in reference to the extra limbs, likens him to an Indian God. The baby was born in Baruipur, India, a city located at the eastern West Bengal State.

A relative of the baby, who was not identified, noted that they could not believe what they saw when the baby came out. The nurses who were in the labor room noted that the baby was badly deformed but the relative said the baby is a miracle.

"I could see that this was a sign from God," the relative added.

The village is said to be being flocked by curious people who come from all over the region. 67-year-old Chukka Roa from a neighboring village was interviewed by CEN and said that the photo of the child showed to them really proved that the baby is the son of the Hindu God Brahma, who also has extra pairs of arms and legs.

Police officials in the area have released a statement saying that they are having trouble controlling the crowds that enter the village. According to the police spokesman, the condition of the baby is tragic and there is nothing godly about his situation or the baby himself.

The spokesman added that hundreds of people have been crying on the streets and have set up camp to pray to the child.

Medics explained that the defect is actually the result of the remains of the supposed twin of the baby and the limbs joined the baby's body while developing in his mother's womb.

Dr. Manny Alvarez, the chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive science at the Hackensack University Medical Center, said that the extra limbs are actually similar to how conjoined twins are formed.

The case, which is called a parasitic twin, involves the malformation of one of the twins because the other fetus was not fully developed. The other twin still exists in the living infant's body, thus the term.
