The Samsung Galaxy S6 may be released earlier than expected and as early as today, a new concept video is showing off its full-metal body and killer specs.

Samsung usually unveils its upcoming flagship handset at the Mobile World Congress in March and releases the device for sale in April. For the Galaxy S6, however, it's speculated the release date will be a month earlier, which means the device will be available in the same month it's officially announced.

Samsung is said to be pushing for a Galaxy S6 March release. The company usually releases its smartphones during the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona every year and the next event will fall in March 2015. This means Samsung will have a narrow time-frame between its Galaxy S6's announcement and release.

The Galaxy S6 concept includes a QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels screen resolution, 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core CPU, Adreno 430 GPU, 20 MP rear camera with 4K video capture, heart rate monitor, fingerprint technology and Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system.

According to speculations, Samsung will offer two curved edges displays based on the Galaxy Note Edge's success. If the South Korean tech giant combines these powerful specs with a premium design rivaling the best handsets on the market, Android vendors will be forced to compete with it in the high-end category.

Samsung will begin mass production of the new NAND flash storage in the next few weeks. Samsung is also considering replacing the microSD and SD with UFS, which is said to have the same transfer speeds as an SSD but is cheaper to make. Recent UFS 2.0 technology also shows half of eMMC 5.0's power consumption.
