Following the news that he has wrapped up filming "Smooth Talker," Hong Kong actor Joe Ma is reportedly in talks with a Chinese agency in a joint venture to open his own company.
According to media reports, Ma, who is currently enjoying popularity as one of the cast members of "Tiger Cubs 2," has revealed that he is planning to open his own company along with a Chinese agency. Media outlets report that the actor is considering opening his own talent outfit. However, discussions about the plan are still underway and it's still in its early stages.

When asked about the amount he has invested in this new business venture, the 46-year old actor stated that he still does not have an amount in mind, but that he might want to do something for the movie industry. He also added that if the company ever succeeds, it would be active in both Mainland China and Hong Kong.
Reporters have also asked Ma if he would be interested in signing former TVB talents. The actor merely laughed and said that he does not have any idea because his plans are different. He was also asked about his TVB label mate Myolie Wu, who could possibly not renew her contract with the company next year, but he only said he doesn't know.
On the other hand, he has also revealed that he is discussing his contract renewal with TVB, which ended just before "Smooth Talker" went into post production. The actor revealed that he will not hesitate to sign with the talent outfit again if the opportunity presents itself and even expressed his hopes to be invited for the third installment of the 'Tiger Cubs' franchise.
The drama, on the other hand, which also features Linda Chung and Him Law, has been nominated for Best Drama on next month's TVB Anniversary Awards.
