Matthew Knowles, Beyonce's father, was revealed to have approached Sony Pictures about producing a biopic on his daughter and her former group, Destiny's Child. The said revelation were released recently as part of leaked Sony emails by hackers.

In the said email, Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper wrote to Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal about Knowles' proposition.

"Matthew Knowles, Beyonce's Father wants to make the film of Destiny's Child and came to me first, He's going to Universal next. Do we think it would be a successful film? They're on Sony label. I'm just not sure that it's not too soon," Culpepper wrote.

Although Knowles managed the girl group in the past, Beyonce sacked her father in 2011 due to allegations that he had stolen money from her and the group.

Yet another musician mentioned in the recently leaked online correspondences is rapper Kanye West, who is supposedly set to appear in a Christmas film next year starring "50/50" actors Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

In the said email, producer James Weaver wrote "We'll have an XMAS tease for 2015. We have a specific idea to attach to THE INTERVIEW that will crush.  Seth, Joe, and [Anthony] Mackie reenacting the scene from BIG on the floor piano at FAO Schwartz with KANYE WEST. It's f***ing awesome."

Other controversial emails that have been leaked recently were a thread between Pascal and producer Scott Rudin about Angelina Jolie wherein Rudin referred to the actress as a spoiled brat having minimal talent.

Yet another email thread was about how screenwriter and series creator Aaron Sorkin didn't know who Michael Fassbender was when he was brought up as a possible lead in a Steve Jobs biopic. Sorkin later on agreed that he was a good actor, and that starring in the film will establish him as a legitimate A-lister.
