The Redmi 1S successor's name is still unknown but based on specs revealed in TENAA, it will be different from its predecessor. The screen's capacitive buttons were restyled and the camera's LED flash and rear speaker grill were repositioned.

The new Xiaomi Redmi 1S successor is said to have a 4.7-inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Cortex-A7 processor and 1 GB of RAM.

It will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat unlike the original one that runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The new Redmi 1S will also support LTE connectivity. It will still have an 8 megapixel rear camera but with a lighter and slimmer body.

The Xiaomi Redmi 1S has been widely popular since its release in China in May and in numerous global markets.

The Xiaomi Redmi 1S sports a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot. It features a 4.7-inch IPS display (720p) and 2,000 mAh battery. It has 1.6 MP front and 8 MP rear cameras.

Xiaomi will release the Redmi 1S in the next few weeks and reveal the release date soon. Xiaomi said the Redmi 1S will be released complete with a wide range of accessories.
