In addition to gamers finally being able to test out the "Halo 5: Guardians" multiplayer beta starting today, game developer 343 Industries also revealed three pre-order options for the upcoming newest "Halo" installment.

The three pre-order options will vary in price and consist of a Standard Edition, Limited Edition and Limited Collector's Edition.

The Standard Edition option would cost gamers $60 and includes a digital or hard copy of "Halo 5: Guardians" in addition to a "Halo 5"-themed game poster.

The Limited Edition option gives gamers everything in the standard package, but offers new exclusive content and a "steel book including exclusive items" for an extra $40.

The Limited Collector's Edition includes the poster, game content, steel book, as well as a celebratory Halo-themed statue created by 343 Industries. This option is only for the true Halo fanatics though, as the package comes with a $250 price tag.

Meanwhile, gamers who purchased "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" for Xbox One can officially begin beta testing today until Jan. 18.

The game developer wanted to return to its roots by focusing on competitive online gameplay. As shown in the beta, the developing company brought back small competitive maps and fast tempo game-modes where teamwork is essential like in previous "Halo 2" and "Halo 3" installments.

The latest installment is implementing new weapon features such as the Smart Scope that allows all weapons to aim with a scope, in addition to new game-modes such as Breakout, which is essentially a four-on-four team-based game that's similar to rules of paintball.

Any content unlocked during the beta can reportedly be transferred over to the full game when it's released during fall of 2015.
