Gamers who log in to play the ""Halo 5: Guardians" multiplayer beta today will find that gameplay is switching gears, as game developer 343 Industries swapped out the maps while adding new game-modes and weapons.

Truth and Empire, two maps that have been available since the launch of the multiplayer beta on Dec. 29, have been swapped out for two new maps called Regret and Eden. The new maps are reportedly "remixes" of Truth and Empire and are available in the Slayer playlist.

A brand new game-mode now apart of the beta is called "Breakout."

Breakout is essentially a four-on-four team-based game with rules similar to that of paintball. Each player receives only one life each round and the objective is to kill the other team before they kill yours. The team to win five rounds first wins the match. The new mode is available to be played on two new maps, Crossfire and Trench.

Initially, players participating in the Slayer playlist within the multiplayer beta started out with the Assault Rifle, but gamers should be excited to hear that there are now game-starts with the Battle Rifle.

Additionally, playing Slayer on Regret will give gamers an opportunity to test out the Hydra MLRS, which is a brand new power weapon introduced into the Halo franchise.

According to a poll conducted by entertainment company IGN, the "Halo 5: Guardians" multiplayer beta has received positive feedback so far. Over 51 percent say the multiplayer beta is "amazing," while 13 percent claim the game "doesn't feel like Halo." Nearly 20 percent of voters still haven't played it yet.
