Apple CEO Tim Cook has been traveling the globe before the reveal of the Apple Watch on March 3, heading all over Europe to visit Apple Stores.

While in Germany, the CEO told The Telegraph the watch would be waterproof and said it would be a replacement for car keys and other physical items people tend to carry around with them, like a wallet.

Cook also claims that while some people don't see a reason for owning a wearable, the Apple Watch will provide more than enough to change a customer's lifestyle and make them an active wearable user.

The real push on the first generation Apple Watch is health, something Cook is very interested in progressing with the wearable. The smartwatch will feature dozens of sensors to collect all types of health and fitness information.

Cook hinted that for fitness fanatics, Apple will offer a range of rewards for reaching and exceeding targets. He didn't disclose if these rewards would have any monetary value or will just be to show off workouts to friends.

The launch of the Apple Watch will be the first new product under Cook's leadership, meaning getting it right could be a big boost to investor and consumer confidence. Even with the tremendous iPhone sales in Q1 2015, people still worry the lack of core vision with the loss of Steve Jobs will hurt Apple in the long term.

There are rumors the first-gen Apple Watch will also lack some of the more in-depth health features that allow doctors to benefit from a user owning an Apple Watch.

Apple was worried the U.S. Food and Drug Administration would block the company's move into glucose tracking used by people who suffer from diabetes.
