"Halo 5: Guardians" is expected to be released in the third quarter of this year.

The game's developer, 343 Industries, promises better gameplay and plenty of improvements following the beta run conducted in December 2014.

Josh Homes, executive producer of 343 Industries, said they were taken aback by the large number of players that participated and the number of matches conducted during the run. All in all, over one million players fought in a total of over 20 million matches.

To elicit the much feedback from the players, 343 Industries set up the Halo community Feedback Program or (HCFP). Thousands have already signed up for the program.

The developer is planning to get additional surveys, as well as finding ways on how to evaluate the feedback that they've received. 

Several of the changes the game will undergo will affect the Spartans themselves, Weapons, Presentation, skill ranking and also matchmaking.

The beta preview revealed some bugs in the characters that needed to be fixed.  The fixes involve Sprint ability and speed, base speed, strafe acceleration and the ground pound controls.

343 Industries made major improvements in the game's weapons to make them more efficient in either zoom in or zoom out mode.  For example, the Hydra weapon will be overhauled to increase its effectiveness when it's not zoomed.

The scopes in the sniper rifle will be adjusted to improve use and visibility. The SPNKr rocket Launcher will return as a legendary weapon.

There are a lot of changes 343 Industries will implement in the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians" before its release this year.

Game publisher Microsoft is offering Limited Edition packages to those that will pre-order the game.  "Halo 5: Guardians" is available for the Xbox One console.
