'Miller High Life' Beer Delivery Man Windell Middlebrooks Dies

Windell Middlebrooks, known for playing the beer delivery man in Miller High Life commercials,passed away in Los Angeles last March 9, according to his family and publicist via NBC News.

Middlebrooks was 36 years old.

Details regarding the cause of Middlebrooks' death will not be immediately released, according to his friend and publicist, Steve Ivey.

"Ultimately grateful for short time that he was able to spend with us," says Ivey, who was devastated by the loss of his friend.

"Windell was a brilliant person and a brilliant friend," he further added.

However, a close source also reveals that the actor was found unconscious in his San Fernando Valley Home and was eventually taken to the hospital. Whether he was pronounced dead on arrival is also uncertain, according to TMZ.

"The Middlebrooks with sorrowed hearts announce the passing of the young, black star. Windell took his final bow with great joy exited stage left in the early morning of March 9th, 2015," his family said in an official statement last Tuesday.

"It was Windell's biggest wish that his final scene be not lived on social media," says his family, requesting the public to let them mourn in private.

Middlebrooks grew up in the east of Fort Worth and became a graduate of Trimble Tech High School. He eventually studied theater in the Sterling College of Kansas and the University of California, Irvine.

Middlebrooks became popularly known as the humorous delivery guy in Miller High Life beer, which he ranted against the 'pretentious' people and gave the beer to the hardworking Americans, according to Dallas News.

He also portayed recurrent roles in several TV shows such as Body of Proof, Scrubs and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.  Middlebrooks also made guest appearances in Entourage, Parks and Recreation and Cougartown.

Details on who he was survived by is still not currently available.
