Brooks Wheelan, 2 more, Fired from 'Saturday Night Live'

Eight freshmen from the latest season of Saturday Night Live are to be judged on who will stay and who will be fired.  Brooks Wheelan, Noël Wells and John Milhiser are the first three to be fired from the show.

From Saturday Night Live's signature opening billboard, Wheelan took the opportunity to use it in order to announce his current status from the ever-famous late night comedy show. The show is now on its 39th season.

Wheelan, a 27-year old well-known comedian, tweeted on his account on July 15, 2014:

Had a blast and loved every second of it. I'm totally honored to be able to make this next joke... FIRED FROM NEW YORK IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!

He was in the show for the 39th season and was mostly in the skit "Weekend Update". He appeared as himself and has given advices with regards to irresponsible behavior.  He was undoubtedly funny and managed to impersonate a few celebrities such as Kid Rock, Matthew McConaughy, Harry Styles, Jared Leto and Slash.

Hours after Wheelan announced what has happened, two more from the cast have been fired as well. Contracts of Noël Wells and John Milhiser were not renewed since the producer did announce that there will be a lot of casting changes.

A lot are surprised since Wells, the only female who joined the freshmen, had a lot of screen time and was presumably taking the place of one of the casts. SNL was rumored to be losing Nasim Pedrad to another sitcom called Mulaney in September. Wells was able to do great impressions of celebrities Zooey Deschanel, Kristen Stewart, and Lena Dunham.

These three were the first to be let go by the show and a lot of the new freshmen's fate are yet to be announced. Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennet, Mike O'Brien, and Sasheer Zamata are his fellow freshmen and people are waiting for further announcements from the producer, Lorne Michaels.
