Rihanna signs to be the face for Dior's Secret Garden campaign!

According to Women's Wear Daily, the French luxury brand just confirmed the news that the 27-year old award-winning singer is set to star in the fourth installment of the print and video series of their Secret Garden series, which previously featured supermodels including Melissa Stasiuk, Xiao Wen Ju and Daria Strokus.

While the popular fashion label has yet to release details about the campaign, they confirmed that the print and film versions, which were shot by renowned photographer Steven Klein, are set to run this coming spring.

And according to a report by Huffington Post, the "Four Five Seconds" singer's role for the French fashion house marks the first time that a black woman will star as the face of one of its campaigns.

The brand previously featured Natalie Portman and Jennifer Lawrence for several of its campaigns, but their choice of Rihanna marks a very important time in Dior's history. Although a lot of designers have aimed to promote diversity and equality in their campaigns, there's no denying that high-fashion still lacks diversity.

The exciting news comes just a few days after the gorgeous pop star was spotted on a set located in the remarkable Place of Versailles in Paris, France-the location where all the Secret Garden campaigns of Dior were shot.

Rihanna was spotted by the media walking through the Palace's rooms during the late night shoot. Sporting a gorgeous sequin gown and fluffy bedroom slippers, her hair was styled in glamorous waves, which was swept back to show her face. She finished her look with a dark lipstick.

Rihanna can be seen posing in the hallway with gold statues, as photographers snapped away.
