The game developer also launched a video preview of the Legacy beta and claimed "much has changed" since its showing in the 2014 BlizzCon.

Understandably, some of the standard parts of StarCraft won't be present in the closed beta test.  Blizzard will include the Archon Mode, where two players take command of a single army.

The economy in the game has been adjusted to reward players based on their expansion and base defense. Attacking units now have increased accuracy to make them more combat reliable.

The beta preview video introduced new units added to the three races: Terran, Zerg and Protoss.  Some of the units of the three races were modified for the upcoming game.

For the Protoss race, new units such as the Adept and Disruptor will be introduced. The Cyclone will be added to the Terran arsenal.

Blizzard also mentioned that it's thinking of adding a second new Terran unit. The Lurker rejoins the Zerg swarm with an increased attack range. Another new Zerg unit is called a Ravager, which morphs from a Zerg Roach.

The official Blizzard site wrote that it's trying to be very open with regards to the Legacy of the Void game development. It also believes cooperation between developer and player will greatly benefit the game.

Blizzard also wrote the beta stage is being tested this early since it wants to get as much feedback from the players as it can before it releases the final version of StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void.
