Samsung Malaysia recently released its new Galaxy Tab 3 V Android tablet that will exclusively be available in Malaysia for now with no follow-up reports of an international release from the company.

Galaxy Tab 3 V arrived upon the silent announcement of the Galaxy Tab A series which was recently unveiled in Russia, and is speculated to target the low-cost market with its listed retail price of RM 499 (US$135).

Samsung showed off the 7-inch display Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V to be powered by a Spreadtrum chipset comprising a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and a single gig of RAM, costing around $135.

Recent reviews state that Galaxy Tab 3 V can be a considered an option to customers looking for a cheap media slate.

It seems the Galaxy Tab 3 V is designed as a replacement for the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite released last year with the help of its more powerful processor and an additional front camera. Malaysian online tech community Lowyat.net noted that both tabs possess similar RAM, internal storage and even battery capacity.

Tech Nave said that like all Galaxy Tab handsets, the Tab 3 V packs in mobile Internet with 3G connectivity but upgrades the usual tech specs together with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.

Samsung says the Galaxy Tab 3 V is a gadget designed for ultra portability to carry with ease, slimmer than other models the tech-giant has ever presented so far.

The Galaxy Tab 3 V also loads Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. A two-year contract can land customers one for less that is half of the retail price (US$65), the tech blog GSMArena reported.
