Despite getting back-to-back updates about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's complicated relationship, many of us are still in the dark as to what actually ended things between the young pop stars.

It was known that the couple finally called it quits in October of last year, but apparently they made a last ditch effort to save their relationship in December. According to the report from Life & Style, the two went on a shopping trip and checked out engagement rings at Tiffany & Co. However, what seemed to be a fun and romantic experience turned out to be a very bitter one thanks to Justin.

According to the magazine's source, a witness inside the store casually asked Justin and Selena if they were going to tie the knot someday, to which the 22-year old actress and singer replied, "I hope so!" But what she didn't know was, while she answered the question, Justin was behind her "mouthing the word 'No!'" and signaled with his hand by waving it to his throat to tell the witness to "cut it out." Another eyewitness even said that Justin kept shaking his head.

It's no secret that the "Come and Get It" singer has endured a lot of heartache because of Justin but we are glad that she has now moved on and is dating 25-year old DJ Zedd.

An insider revealed to Hollywood Life that Selena sees herself having a future with Zedd. She thinks that the DJ is marriage and dad material and in fact, has talked to him about having kids and a big, wonderful family. 

Selena said that children, even babies easily gravitate towards her new beau because he's extremely silly and fun to be around with. "Plus, he's super patient," the insider added.
