Nvidia Introduces Shield Tablet for Gaming

Gamers can now use tablets when playing.

Last Tuesday, Nvidia introduced a tablet called Shield which is specially designed for gamers and it comes a wireless controller.

Nvidia is a company commonly known for producing graphics cards and mobile processors.

Shield is a follow up product of Nvidia to an existing devices called Shield Portable and was launched in 2013. The tablet can sync the Shield Portable for users who want to play games with more ease.

Shield is an 8-inch Android tablet the comes with a full HD display and front-facing speakers. The tablet is available with 16GB (Wi-Fi) and 32GB (Wi-Fi + LTE). It costs US$299.

However, the controller is being sold separately for US$59.

Gamers have an option to purchase the tablet cover which can be a stand and adjust the device in three different gaming positions.

Aside from the main function of the tablet which is gaming, it also allows the users to surf the Internet, email checking, and other related things.

Shield has a bunch of games that gamers would be happy to play. Among the games included are War Thunder, Trine 2, Anomaly 2 and a gaming hub with more than 400 Shield-optimized titles.

The tablet's one of the best features is the ability to stream PC games such as Assassin's Creed and Titanfall when using Wi-Fi.

However, the gamers must have a PC powered by an Nvidia GeForce GTX in order to stream those PC games.

For users who don't have that kind of PC can still download Android games and sync them to the controller.

It also incorporates Twitch, world's leading video platform and community for gamers, so users can induce social gaming component.

The tablet has also an advanced game-capture tool called ShadowPlay that allows users to save and stream their greatest gaming time.

Nvidia is now accepting pre-orders of the tablet Shield.
