Apple, Inc. has released a new Macintosh operating system, Mac OS X Yosemite, and is inviting users to test and experience it.

For any beta software, it is essential to remember that users are not likely to have a bug-free experience or even be able to check out all the new features that come with new operating system.

Apple has already said that beta users won't have a chance to access the Yosemite features like the capability to receive or make iPhone calls and messages. Beta users can't turn on the iPhone hotspot feature from Mac.

It is also off limits for iCloud Drive, and search suggestions from Spotlight are U.S.-based only.

Apple warned beta users they cannot run all Mac apps.

It's not a good idea to install the Yosemite OS right away on a personal Mac or on a business computer.

Apple also said that beta users should back-up data before installing Yosemite OS.

Beta users won't recive any compensation when participating. Computers involved in beta testing must run the current version of OS X called Mavericks.

The company also requested the beta users not to install the pre-release software on any systems they don't control or share it with other people.

Beta users are not also allowed to talk about their experience on blogs and share any information in various social networking sites.

There's also a built-in feedback app for any issues.
