Mojang Celebrates 'Minecraft': Xbox 360 Edition's Birthday By Giving Its Xbox 360 And Xbox One Players Free Skins And Freebies Too!

Happy Birthday Minecraft! The popular sandbox independent video game celebrates its Minecraft: 360 Edition birth by giving its Xbox 360 and Xbox One players a new skin pack.

In order to celebrate the three year anniversary of Minecraft on Xbox, "Chief Word Officer" at Mojang, Owen Hill, has just revealed what contents Minecraft fans can download for free.

Minecraft fanbase that encompasses a mind-boggling 20 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 players can now download an all-new Birthday Skins Pack, Mojang announced on its website.

Xbox 360 and Xbox One players will get a heap of colorful skins. Starting today, May 7, until the 17th of May, three packs will be available to download for free. But that is not all, there is a brand-new bundle featuring veteran Mojangstas along with a few bold extras i.e. Mojang's 2nd Birthday Skin Pack from 2014, as well 1st Skin Pack from Minecraft's first birthday.

The Birthday Skin Pack will be available to download for free and most reportedly will feature skins of Mojang employees. Moreover, the two previous Birthday Skin Packs that will be available to those that are on Xbox One, will feature skins including Master Chief, Conker, Kazooie and Banjo, PureBox noted.

Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition was released on May 9, 2012 and since then it has gone on to sell more than 12 million copies, making it one of the most outstanding and successful titles on Xbox 360. The tech giant Microsoft acquired Mojang in Sept. 12, 2014, and is currently working with Telltale Games on "Minecraft: Story Mode," a brand-new narrative motivated game set in the Minecraft universe.

Finally, Hill thanked 4J Studios for doing a great job on the console versions, and fans for playing Minecraft no matter which platform they chose.
