In a guest appearance on TVB's "Star Talk," Hong Kong singer Joey Yung dished out on what she and boyfriend Wilfred Lau currently think about marriage.

The couple, who has been together for quite some time now, admitted that they have no plans to get married any time soon. The 34-year old Joey Yung revealed that she is in no rush to settle down with Wilfred Lau, as opposed to her fans and media who have been impatiently waiting for her to say "I do."

Joey Yung explained that for her, "marriage is about having kids," and since she and Wilfred Lau are not planning on having kids yet, she thinks it is best that they continue being in their stable relationship for now.

"But I do love children," she quickly added.

As for her wedding plans, when the day finally comes, she said that she wants it to be really intimate and private and held overseas. She turned down the idea of having a wedding reception, saying that it is a hassle.

"I want it to be simple," she said and added that she might consider marrying first before telling the public.

Things are looking extremely well for the couple, who were previously criticized simply because of their different financial backgrounds. Many speculated that Joey Yung's success in the industry made Wilfred Lau insecure.

However, Joey Yung took to her boyfriend's defense and explained that trivial things do not matter when two people are together. She slammed the public for creating labels and clarified that Wilfred Lau does not have any hard feelings toward her.

As to how she is making her relationships work, Joey Yung shared that she has learned how to properly balance her career and her personal relationships. Though her priority is her career, she knows that she cannot just let life pass her by and makes sure that she sets some time for her family and the people around her, especially Wilfred Lau.
