The wife of Ellen DeGeneres said that she gave in to the eating disorders after feeling a whole lot of responsibility when she was put on the catwalk at the young age of 12. Portia de Rossi revealed that her modeling agents has instructed her to go on a diet, which made her go without food for 10 days.

Portia de Rossi also said that she often felt extremely awkward at auditions, where other models bullied her and made fun of her eyebrows. And that was after those auditions where she became bulimic for the first time.

To feel better, Portia de Rossi said she got in her car and ate a big bag of her favorite candy. When she thought she ruined" two weeks worth of dieting," she immediately forced herself to vomit to erase the food and the feelings.

"But you're still left with the shame," she added.

Tearing up, Portia de Rossi shared that thinking about those "horrible" times of her life, makes her very emotional.

Portia de Rossi first got people worried about her health back in 2000 when she appeared extremely thin and sparked fears again during the years after that. After she fully recovered from her eating disorder, she opened up to Oprah Winfrey and revealed the extent to which she was depriving herself of food.

In the interview, Portia de Rossi admitted that she would drink 20 laxatives a day and shared that she restricted herself to only eating 300 calories a day.

Happily, the star managed to find acceptance and love within herself after meeting comedian, DeGeneres, who she married in 2008.

Portia de Rossi's It Got Better episode airs on Wednesday.
