"Avengers: Age of Ultron" just opened May 12 in the world's second largest film market, but the movie's Chinese subtitles have already annoyed even the most loyal fans of the Avengers.

In the Chinese version of the movie, many of the superheroes including Captain America, played by Chris Evans and Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., are saying things that absolutely do not make sense. Chinese moviegoers have pointed out numerous hilarious translation errors.

When Captain America says "I'm home," it was translated to "I'm good." Then when Captain America tells Mark Ruffalo's character Bruce Banner about being the "world's leading authority on waiting too long," it became "I am very old" in Chinese.

Those who watched the movie were disappointed and slammed Marvel for its literal translations, including Captain America's line, "You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed, walk it off," which came across in Chinese as "Run fast if someone tries to kill you."

Another literal translation is Iron Man's dialogue when he is gathering the Avengers and encourages them to fight to the death. He says, "We may not make it out of this," however, for some odd reason, it was translated in Chinese to "Let's back off now."

One moviegoer identified as Wo Jiao Sanzhiya took to his Weibo account to say that he was shocked by the translation and even shared that the woman in front of him was almost in tears when she decided to leave and said "I can't put up with it." His post has since been retweeted thousands of times.

Despite many who suggest that the translations were made via Google Translate, Baidu reports that the translator was actually Liu Dayong --- the same translator who translated the movies "Titanic," "Avatar" and "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies."

The Avengers incident is not the first time that Marvel has been ridiculed for its literal translations. It came under fire last year for its awkward translation of the "Guardians of the Galaxy," which became known as "Interplanetary Unusual Attacking Team" in China.
