Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge ‘Iron Man’ Limited Edition Blasts Its Way Into Stores

In celebration of Marvel Studios' successful "Avengers" movies, and perhaps in anticipation of the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" film, Samsung released a limited edition "Iron Man" themed version of the Galaxy S6 Edge today.

This limited edition phone comes with pretty much the same interiors as the regular S6 Edge, including its 64GB internal storage capacity. The main thing that makes this device special is its unique paintjob, customized to look exactly like Robert Downey Jr's sleek red and gold "Iron Man" suits in the Marvel movies.

Like Tony Stark himself, the customized Galaxy S6 Edge is more than just about the suit. The phone comes packed with pre-installed "Iron Man" and "Avengers" goodies and features. It also comes in a special collectible "Avengers" box.

No "Iron Man" is complete without a power source, which is why Samsung thought to give buyers their own arc reactors in the form of the phone's wireless charger.

The limited edition "Iron Man" Galaxy S6 is set to be released in Korea today, May 27, and it will be available for Hong Kong buyers in June.

"Iron Man" is not the only member of the "Avengers" set to appear on Samsung's upcoming merchandise. Just recently, the gadget manufacturing giant announced four other Avengers-themed cases, the other three being "Thor," "Captain America" and "Hulk". Additionally, Samsung also created a wireless charger designed in the form of Cap's famous vibranium shield.

International Business Times discusses how much each of the limited edition issues cost. While there are yet to be any news on a U.S. release or pricing details, the information below should give American buyers an idea on how much a sleek, new Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge will set them back:

Special Edition Cases - 34.99 British pounds ($54.24)

Captain America Wireless Charger - 44.99 British pounds ($70.49)

After the inevitable success of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Marvel fans are now looking forward to seeing their favorite superheroes duke it out in the next epic turning point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (before the third Avengers comes around, that is). Incidentally, "Captain America 3: Civil War" is now looking for talents to begin filming.
