Attorneys Jeff Herman and Mark Gallagher, lawyers of the man accusing "X-Men" director Bryan Singer of sexual abuse have withdrawn from the case.

According to the lawyers, who filed in the US District Court in Hawaii, 31-year old Egan is a totally broken man "and cannot be repaired".

In a statement released by Herman's office, the lawyer stated, "We cannot comment on any actual or purported documents that may or may not be or reflect privileged or confidential communications."

Egan has a new layer, but refuses to let go of the two.

Herman helped Egan file lawsuits against three other entertainment executives. All three lawsuits, wherein Egan had claimed that he was sexually abused as a minor, were dismissed.

Egan accused Singer of raping him when he was a minor. The said allegation and subsequent lawsuit were announced several weeks before Singer's film "X-Men: Days of Future Past" was released.

Aside from Egan, two other individuals have gone public to accuse the director of sexual abuse.

The 48-year old director denies all the allegations against him.

Marty Singer, the filmmaker's lawyer who is not related to him, said that Egan and his lawyers have asked to settle the lawsuit for a significantly small amount, especially considering the circumstances. He shared that they believe that this was "their way of trying to save face after an unsuccessful attempted shakedown of Bryan Singer."

An insider said that both parties agreed to a $100,000 settlement, which has yet to be finalized.

It seems that Egan has new representation. However, Vince Finaldi, one of his new lawyers, said that his firm is not representing Egan in the case against Bryan Singer. They only stand as advisors on other possible claims.

Garth Ancier, one of those accused by Egan, was an executive for Fox and NBC. Ancier is suing Egan, Herman and Gallagher for malicious prosecution. Bryan Singer will be following suit.
