The top actors who are asking for a raise are Jim Parsons a.k.a Sheldon Cooper, Johnny Galecki a.k.a Leonard Hofstadter, Kaley Cuoco a.k.a Penny, Simon Helberg a.k.a Howard Wolowitz, and Kunal Nayyar a.k.a Raj Koothrappali. The fivesome was reported to have locked in negotiations regarding their pay per episode.

Cuoco, Galecki, and Parsons want an increase from US$325,000 to $1million. Parson has won three Emmys as well as one Golden Globe with regards to his impeccable acting in the show.

No figures were given as to the demands of Helberg and Nayyar. Mayim Balik a.k.a Amy Farrah Fowler and Melissa Rauch a.k.a Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz were reported to have agreeable arrangement regarding their pays so they are not demanding any raise.

The show is one of the most-watched comedy series worldwide and it was reported to have around 23.1 million viewers. Also, the show has been extended for three more series which means it will still be airing until 2017. That is if the cast and the network settle the contract disputes.

Chuck Lorre did say that he did not expect the contract dispute to be very disruptive. However, he noted that it will eventually be fixed and the thinks that the demands are great. He added that he wants the cast to be crazy wealthy because they deserve it.
